ENTERPRISE MESSAGING ENGINEER

The Enterprise Messaging Engineer will be responsible for operational support and project initiatives for all Messaging environments. This position provides maintenance, support, and enhancements of the messaging systems including Exchange, Outlook, Ironport Email Security, and email archiving. This involves establishing and adhering to company standards, collaborating with other application groups & users in troubleshooting, identifying requirements & specifications and project planning activities. Role also involves monitoring and troubleshooting issues in the existing production environment.

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

 

Bachelor's of Science or related field. Four years relevant experience above the required minimum experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

6 years of related technical experience as follows: One year helpdesk or desktop systems support (can substitute any preferred certification for this one year). 5 yrs experience supporting, designing, and implementing electronic mail solutions that include:

· Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003/2007 server environment, W2K/2003 and Active Directory.

· IronPort Anti-Spam and encryption device implementation and management

· Strong working knowledge of SMTP, mail routing, DNS, Rightfax and Outlook client/server interoperability. Scripting skills

· Working knowledge of Antigen Anti-Virus suite and Tumbleweed Email Encryption Products.

· Deployment of Unified Messaging Systems with Exchange 2003/2007 to include instant messaging, RSS, fax services.

· Design and implementation of electronic direct marketing or mailing systems.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Certifications: MCSE 2000/2003, Exchange 2003.  Experience with the following is a plus: HTTP/HTTPS, Nagios, NetIQ AppManager, Clustering, Encryption, databases, firewalls, blade servers, VMware, Sharepoint Portal, Outlook Web Access.
