Documentation Associate

By joining our Operations Team as a Documentation Specialist, you will be a part of a department that plays a crucial role in our firm's trading successes. Supporting and collaborating with our sales traders, compliance officers and documentation specialists at our clearing firm, you will set up new client accounts through which our customers will clear their trades. To do so, you will compile the data necessary to set up these accounts, which involves contacting clients, requesting customer charter documents, determining the appropriate account documentation to send to the customer and reviewing completed account documentation. Moreover, your role will also involve learning and maintaining SIG's customized Account Management System (AMS), BRASS and utilizing your Microsoft Access skills to create and maintain account information as well as manipulate data for reporting purposes. Essential Functions Interface closely with Sales Traders, Research Traders, Compliance Officers, and Documentation Specialists at our clearing firm Set up new client relationships; Contact clients to determine the appropriate account documentationSend and review completed account documentation and customer charter documents Open new accounts and provide general support to the Sales Traders Required/Preferred Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of work experience required; financial services industry experience preferredBachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred Must be diligent and meticulous with attention to detail Strong Microsoft Office skills requiredProven ability to work in a fast-paced teamwork environment Must work well under pressure Excellent communication (both written and verbal), organizational and time management skills required Willing to work additional hours when necessary with minimal noticeFamiliarity with BRASS a plusBasic knowledge of financial industry desirable* Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
