JOB SUMMARY
Manage and lead the activities of the Division Technology Support groups (1300+ tax offices). Responsible for implementing, maintaining and supporting the technology (including servers, workstations, telecommunications, switches, etc.) and technical operations (monitoring, software distribution, issue escalation/problem management, etc.) of all company-owned tax offices within the division, as well as Financial Centers. Establish service levels and key performance indicators for the division to ensure optimal availability of field system technology to Tax Operations and other business units as required. Assist the efforts of the group providing all network-related application testing for software in use in tax offices. Coordinate and provide technical training to the Field Technology Managers (FTMs) and Field Systems Technicians (FSTs).
JOB DUTIES
#183; Manage the setup and shutdown of company-owned offices.
#183; Coordinate and monitor the deployment and allocation of field hardware to be ordered and disposed of each year for the Division.
#183; Manage and coordinate network and telecom cabling upgrades in the Division.
#183; Coordinate persistent connectivity installation and deployment in field locations where appropriate.
#183; Enforce technology standards established by Enterprise Technology.
#183; Coordinate with Information Security to ensure Division compliance with corporate security standards.
#183; Coordinate and manage the annual technology equipment inventory process in field offices.
#183; Optimize the use of technology assets within the division.
#183; Analyze the implementation of technology in company-owned offices.
#183; Assist in the creation of technology/support labor budgets for the Division.
#183; Manage assigned staff. Hire, train, schedule and evaluate staff. Establish performance objectives and expectations and coach and conduct performance reviews on a regular basis. Work with staff to define and develop plans for reaching career goals. Conduct staff meetings at regular intervals to share department and company information.
#183; Establish service levels and key performance indicators for the division to ensure optimal availability of field system technology to Tax Operations and other business units as required.
#183; Manage the ongoing support of technology in field tax, financial and administrative offices to ensure service levels are being met.
#183; Communicate technology issues to staff as well as appropriate district management, divisional management and World Headquarters staff in an effective and timely manner.
#183; Monitor status of network health in field offices.
#183; Interact with WHQ IT to determine testing requirements for images, applications, and new technology in field offices.
#183; Coordinate the testing of images, applications and new technology in field offices.
#183; Coordinate and provide technical networking infrastructure and application installation/configuration training for FSTs in use in tax offices and Financial Centers.
#183; Monitor and control FST labor hours within the division to compliance with budgets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
#183; Bachelor#8217;s degree in computer science, or a related field, or a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience.
#183; Experience in hardware and software support and troubleshooting in a stand-alone and/or networked environment.
#183; Experience in IT Infrastructure areas (e.g., Data Processing/Operations, Telecommunications, and LAN/WAN), particularly in the areas of deploying and supporting infrastructure technology.
#183; Experience working with Microsoft networking technology.
#183; Network/telecom cabling experience and familiarity with standard network and telecom infrastructure cabling standards.
#183; Experience in IT project management with large-scale technology deployments. Ability to manage detailed plans in support of strategic goals and a track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
#183; Experience in the creation and provision of technical training. Proven ability to effectively provide training and explain processes and procedures.
#183; Supervisory/management experience.
#183; Demonstrated organization, prioritization and project coordination skills.
#183; Demonstrated problem solving, decision-making and analytical abilities.
#183; Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
#183; Valid driver#8217;s license.
