We also serve thousands of individuals through employee retirement plans.Brief Description: Position Title: US Mutual Funds The US Mutual Funds role is responsible for the following key functions: · Product management for our US-based mutual fund offering across all retail and fee-based channels/platforms at ML. This includes product due diligence and approval, coordination of the mutual fund product and investment committee, product & capabilities “packaging,” continued development (with our Operations Unit) of the sophisticated omnibus mutual fund trading platform, and management of the sales agreement process with investment managersJob Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities · Current offering includes more than 160 asset managers, more than 8,000 funds · Platforms include transactional business, discretionary advisory, non-discretionary advisory, third party and direct online · Mutual fund advice and guidance framework, designed to guide financial advisors and clients to our best portfolios among our comprehensive offering · Development of the mutual fund tools suite to facilitate FA productivity and FA/client interaction · Competitive intelligence vs. the industry, identifying opportunities and issues in our business Qualifications: Required Skills & Abilities Bachelors Degree required and Series 7, Series 66 and Series 24 licenses Minimum ten years of mutual fund product experience Sophisticated knowledge of mutual funds and the mutual fund industry, including competitive advantages, platforms and product offerings Sophisticated knowledge of regulatory, sales practice and pricing issues Sophisticated knowledge of product profitability and budget forecasting Experience building comprehensive business plans Command of capital markets and ML Research opinions relating to asset allocation and specific investment recommendations Proven effectiveness in a fast-paced, demanding, client-driven environment Must possess strategic thinking expertise and product innovation skills Strong Financial Advisor contact experience Proficiency in discussing markets, investment strategies, and investment policies Familiarity with mutual fund trading and Merrill Lynch systems and operations Effective influencing and negotiation skills Strong written, verbal and communication skills Office Location: time will be split in New York City and Hopewell, NJ Merrill Lynch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
