We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Operations for our Omaha, NE location.JOB OBJECTIVE:The Director of Operations is a mid-management level position reporting directly to the Managing Director of TD AMERITRADE Clearing. The incumbent is responsible and accountable for overall management of multiple departments for Brokerage Operations in the Omaha location.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:' Managing the operation of multiple departments  Cage / Dividends / Reorganizations Mutual Funds Securities Cage Settlements - Fails' Working closely with other managers and Directors to closely coordinate current operations and future plans.' Setting the priorities and focus of effort for multiple departments.' Knowledge of existing and changing regulations to ensure compliance with applicable industry rules.' Conducting annual, quarterly, and interim performance reviews for managers.' Document and track department performance.' Translate business unit, section, and dept. objectives into Pay For Performance items/work standards.' Maintain standards for each job based on benchmark metrics.' Coordinate with management, Technology Group and Brokerage Operations to handle technology needs for the departments.' Develop, test and maintain business continuity plans for operations' Manage and forecast staffing requirements.' Represent TD AMERITRADE on applicable industry committees.' Provide progress reports to upper management as requested.' Coordinate testing and implementation of new systems or procedures for the dept.' Manage relationships with business partners (vendors) and third party providers.' Manage contractual relationships and obligations with business partners and third parties.' Good working knowledge of TD AMERITRADE operations and the Securities Industry.' 5 -8 years of direct related industry experience (Financial Services/Brokerage market related) in expanding management roles, all of which include supervision. ' 4-year degree in business or related field; Masters Degree in business preferred or an equivalent combination of experience and education. ' Must possess the following licenses and maintain current status: 7, 24, 63. Also, must either have the Series 27 or obtain it upon hire. ' Must have an in-depth understanding and proven track record. ' Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills with practical application to ascertain growth opportunities, and develop appropriate initiatives.' Strong problem solving and decision making skills.' Strong communicator (written and verbal), able to effectively interact and coordinate with other departments, business units and the executive level.' Strong coaching/mentoring skills.'
