Development Team Lead - Brokerage Operations/Development

As Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding an interdisciplinary team of developers, analysts and testers who are engaged in consolidating a range of applications which provide the middle and back office functionality for the Brokerage business. You will ensure successful project execution, manage day-to-day development, and provide effective stakeholder and management communications. You will provide technical mentorship for your team and will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. Essential Functions Work directly with internal clients and stakeholders to determine requirements, set expectations, and resolve issues. Arrange work packages and project scheduling to accommodate dynamic priorities.Communicate a clear vision for team members and stakeholders; ensure team members understand the big picture".Ensure the successful execution of team projects, operational activities, and responsibilitiesEnsure the agile, responsive delivery of team services to the enterpriseProvide guidance in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycles including: * Capturing and prioritizing requirements * High-level and detailed design * Oversee/review implementation and unit-testing * Guide formal testing, deployment, and maintenanceParticipate in team development, including hiring and retention decisions.Participate in staff evaluations and individual development plans.Identify and leverage team member strengths and help team members improve their skills.Oversee and approve vacation, support, and other staff schedules Required/Preferred Qualifications Minimum of seven (7) years working in a team-based software development organization Experience applying a variety of technologies to solve complex business problems is required. Experience with any of the following technologies: * Databases such as Oracle, SqlServer and Access * Web interfaces using C#/ASP/.NETAbility to develop and maintain program, project, and product plans Ability to bridge communications among technical staff and non-technical stakeholdersExcellent analytical and decision-making skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent collaboration and coordination skills Ability to become fluent in the business domain Experience leading small Development, Q/A, Product, or Project teams preferred * Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
