Currently, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Texas Legal Office.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Account Manager
Department: Texas Legal Office
Reports to: Corporate Counsel- Texas Legal Office
FLSA Status: Full- Time, Non-Exempt, Salary
Objective: Account Managers are primarily responsible for influencing debtors to pay their debts voluntarily while prepping the accounts for legal. Activities include notifying debtors of delinquent accounts by mail and/or telephone and contacting them to negotiate payment agreements while maintaining high ethical and moral standards. Account Managers are required to accurately notate the accounts, analyze account information to make sound business decisions, follow procedures and work effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Initiates outbound calls to debtors.
2. Receives inbound calls from debtors
3. Interprets, summarizes and notates data from Credit Bureau Reports to debtor’s file
4. Analyzes account data to determine appropriate procedure.
5. Notates and effectively inputs data for accounts with new bankruptcy filings and marks the account (s) for no future contact by our collectors.
6. Negotiates and establishes payment options
7. Participates in a team environment to achieve departmental and company goals.
8. Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
9. Performs all other duties as assigned
Levels of Supervision Required: General Direction: receives very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; work is usually quite independent of others; operates within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
Education and Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Experience in collections preferred. Knowledge of FDCPA regulations preferred.
Language Requirements:
Candidate must possess strong communication skills including the ability to read, write and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence and memos. The position also requires the ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees in the organization. Fluency in English required/ Spanish preferred.
