In addition, responsibilities will include helping to provide for high quality data, efficient processes and highly transparent and effective support for both internal and external clients. Operations & Services Group (OSG) provides superior customer service to Fidelity's brokerage businesses through innovation, dedication and commitment to excellence. With seven operating divisions located throughout the country, OSG provides securities execution, clearance, and information management services to retail, institutional, and correspondent clients. OSG performs tens of thousands of over-the-counter, listed equities, options, bonds, and mutual fund transactions daily. The associate will work within a rapidly changing and growing Enterprise Data/ Pricing environment held as the cornerstone of OSG’s Operations. The Pricing department ensures the accuracy of pricing for all securities on the brokerage platform. Primary internal customers are other business units within OSG and Fidelity’s - Family Office, Institutional Wealth Services, Personal & Workplace Investing, National Financial Services and our Capital Markets businesses. Primary Responsibilities Primarily responsible for the gathering and maintenance of data, accurate and timely for primarily complex Alternative Investments. In addition the specialist will be responsible for supporting other product types including Equities, Options, Corporate, Government, Municipal bonds and Foreign securities in accordance with firms’ policies and procedures. Daily tasks include:·Inputting prices from third parties·Reviewing quality control reports ·Researching securities that are not currently priced ·Obtaining data from various internal and external sources ·Updating systems accordingly. Actively participate in the identification of data quality issues, address root cause and put safeguards in place to mitigate future concerns. Further drive data quality by highlighting areas for process improvement, formulate recommendations to resolve, and work as part of a team to re-engineer current work flows. Gather, track and analyze metrics to measure effectiveness of operational processes. Stay focused to achieve departmental goals. Resolve escalated issues. Manage and prioritize daily workflow. Train junior team members. Become a Subject Matter Expert so as to provide superior client support for both internal and external customers.Education and Experience BA/BS degree in business related field, or equivalent work experience required 5 or more years experience in brokerage processing (pricing experience preferred) Experience working with pricing of securities and working with reference market dataSkills and Knowledge: Detail oriented with the ability to quickly organize, prioritize and work within a multiple concurrent task environment. Self motivated individual able to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment with competing demands for resources. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to breakdown an issue, isolate and resolve the problem(s). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven task management skills adhering to deadlines.
