DB2 CICS Mainframe Programmer

We are recruiting for full time DB2 CICS Mainframe Programmers with extensive DB2 and CICS experience. This is a full time opportunity with benefits starting first day of employment. This opportunity is located in our National Training & Telecommunications Center in Boca Raton, Florida.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Full life cycle development with at least 8 years DB2 and CICS.

In-depth knowledge of DB2, CICS, COBOL, JCL, DB2 database tools.

In-depth experience in the design and development of online and batch database systems.

Expert in relational database and SQL.

Knowledge of DB2 stored procedures a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

College degree preferred.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Consults with Data Base Administration, Systems Manager, Project Leader, Project Manager, Sr. Programmer/Analyst, and Data Administrator for database design, programming and implementation.



Prepares specifications and project plans for complex processes and database computer Systems involving on-line and batch procedures.



Develops and implements with the assistance of MIS personnel, projects as assigned. Provides technical leadership during assigned development and maintenance efforts.



Codes complex processes using strong technical or application knowledge and database expertise, and performs system integration tasks.



Provides technical guidance to programmers. Analyze user requirements, evaluate tools techniques and vendor software. Prepares designs and specifications for applications or programs.



Assists in the formulation and documentation of test plans and project plans and reviews test results.



Maintain systems technical currency with the industry and trends. Makes recommendations to the Systems Manager, Data Administration Manager, Project Manager or Project Leader regarding short and long-term MIS direction.



COMPENSATION: Our competitive compensation plan offers a base salary plus annual bonus earning potential targeted at 15% of base salary with maximum possibility of 22.5% of base salary.
