DATA ANALYSTS
Ensure proper data quality in all aspects of development and production processing… Pyramid Consulting Group has a financial client in the Southern NJ area with an immediate need for DATA ANALYSTS. The client is looking to fill Data Analyst positions at varying levels.
Responsibilities may include:
* Conduct data analysis on raw and processed data for new product / service and interface development;
* Identify areas of opportunity to improve all aspects of our data quality, perform causal analysis of issues, propose and lead improvement efforts;
* Monitor processing through error reports, logs and other reporting mechanisms
* Perform daily review, research and reconciliation of recons, unmapped data, suspicious prices;
* Maintain data mappings for key data dimensions;
* Monitor trends and propose ideas to address issues proactively going forward;
* Work with Data/Business Analysts to address identified data issues that require development involvement or changes in company process;
* Work with Quality Assurance on high level test strategy;
* Perform requirements review and sign-off for all new data-related projects; and
* Create DQ test plans and conduct DQ testing and sign-off for all new data-related projects.
The client is looking for the following background and skills:
* Financial Services industry experience - Must have!
* Proficiency in data analysis and query writing in SQL or other tools;
* Experience with Oracle;
* Strong analytical mindset and a quantitative background;
* Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal;
* Experience with Portfolio Accounting Software is a plus.
For higher level positions:
* Project Management experience and/or ASQ Certifications (particularly in Six Sigma) considered a plus.
