Customer Contact Center Representative

We are a customer contact center servicing the frontline for customer interactions with ING. We service a variety of financial products including traditional and variable life insurance products for individuals as well as employers. We operate in a dynamic team-oriented environment dedicated to providing refreshing service to our customers. Our center in Windsor, CT provides service to customers from 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. We offer an intense eight-week training program with experienced service consultants on our financial products and services as well as state of the art computer equipment including Internet capabilities. Training schedule is typically M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Upon successful completion of the training program, schedules are assigned and may include 4 hours on a Saturday. All applicants MUST be available to work on Saturday. Offered exclusively in ING's Customer Contact Centers, the Orange Premium Plan provides an opportunity for employees to earn a special quarterly bonus in addition to their total compensation, including ING's Merit and Incentive Compensation Bonus Programs! This position offers an individual a variety of career opportunities in the contact center or within other departments of ING.

You will be responsible for delivering cost-effective, quality service to ING participants in order to retain customers and increase profitability.

Accurately handle and support customer requests for service, and product/procedural information for various types of group and individual insurance products.

Resolve complex customer issues.

Research and troubleshoot discrepancies relating to transaction processing, compliance and regulatory issues.

We are looking for individuals who can provide professional, reliable and prompt services to customers, develop relationships with external and internal partners, as they effectively troubleshoot, prioritize, and multi-task.

The successful candidate will bring a BS/BA or equivalent experience in a related field and 1+ years customer service experience. A basic understanding of pension and investment concepts and products, or experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable. Individual must be customer focused, self-motivated and enjoy working in a busy call center environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary. The successful candidate will need to maintain a business-driven mindset by placing the customer first and demonstrating a sense of urgency at all times.

*** FINRA Series 6 Certification is required or must be obtained within 1 month of start date; additional licenses/registrations as required. *** In-house training is provided.
