We will train you for an important career, developing and serving a customer base through solicitation, loan extension, and/or adjustment of delinquent accounts. Using excellent customer service skills, the Customer Account Specialist greets, assists, and solicits customers in the office and on the telephone. This position is often the customer’s first impression of American General Financial Services, making it one of our most important roles.
Primary Responsibilities:Provide customer service by greeting, assisting and soliciting persons entering the office or on the telephoneMeet personal performance goals through handling complete loan cycleReceive and process credit and employment verifications and records information obtainedPerforms administrative tasks in processing insurance products at the direction of a licensed agentPerform routine transactions and an on-line terminal, process payments and disbursementsPrepare reports, type correspondence and transaction documents, maintain files, handle mail, notarize documents and handle recording and filing

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:A high school diploma, or equivalency (Some college classes preferred)Strong math and organizational skillsSales experience and/or cash handlingThe ability to become a notary publicAn outgoing personality and competitive natureStrong interpersonal and communication skillsIntegrity and strong work ethic Dependable transportation and valid driver’s licensePass pre-employment credit and criminal background checksWilling to work hours that can include some weekday evenings and some weekend hoursBilingual English/Spanish skills helpful
