Corporate Controller / Management Level Position

Job description:

 

As Corporate Controller, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be called upon to:

·         coordinate all accounting functions of the company including general ledger, payables and receivables;

·         coordinate and prepare monthly payroll;

·         prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;

·         coordinate and prepare local, state and federal tax returns and payments;

·         coordinate, prepare and report on annual and future budgets;

·         coordinate all benefit plans of the company including health, dental, life and 401(k);

·         interface with outside accountants and auditors;

·         assist in the negotiation of all contracts;

·         recommend new systems and procedures as situations warrant; and

·         complete special projects and reports as directed by Senior Management.

 

Job requirements:

 

This position is ideal for an existing corporate or public accountant in search of a unique opportunity.  A willingness to interact on all corporate levels and the ability to think on your feet are very important.  A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required (Accounting or Finance). Current experience of 5+ years in a non-manufacturing environment is preferred.  Experience with automated accounting, payroll and budgeting systems is mandatory.  As an integral part of our team, the ideal candidate for this position will have the following attributes:

·         self-motivated and able to succeed on projects in both supervised and unsupervised situations;

·         very creative and analytical – always searching for a better way of getting things done;

·         good written and verbal communication skills;

·         proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;

·         able to remain focused even when under tight time constraints; and

·         a keen eye for detail.

Salary:  Approximately $75,000 with benefits and bonus opportunities.
