Collections Assistant Manager

This position exists to gather, analyze, interpret, and report collections department data in order for the organization to make informed decisions in relation to the organizations collections activities and asset quality.  §         Responsible for preparing the monthly collections department board reports.§         Gather, Analyze, interpret, and report collections data on delinquencies and charge-offs identifying trends and areas for possible changes and/or improvements.

§         Ensure the department is maximizing productivity by coordinating with department management to ensure the workflow of the department is appropriate based upon peak periods and trend analysis.

§         Responsible for gathering data required for 5300 reporting.

§         Responsible keeping abreast of collections industry trends and industry best practices in regards to reporting, benchmarking, and analysis.Provides support for escalated member calls by researching and resolving complaints. Assists management with selection, coaching, evaluation and development of department teammembers; assists in the performance evaluation process and handles routine counseling of teammembers when necessary.Assist in project development and implementation.Performs other duties as assigned.Must meet all mandatory annual training requirements as specifically applicable for this position.

 

Qualifications:

·         3-5 years previous collections experience

·         Call center experience is preferred

·         College degree preferred, high school diploma required

·         Outstanding oral and written communication skills

·         Proven analytical and research skills

·         Ability and desire to provide 'world-class' service
