As a Regional Client Service Consultant, your role will be to service and manage the clients within your region in partnership with the sales team. Primary responsibilities for this position include: - Develop and manage effective primary relationships with plan sponsors and channel relationships through frequent client contact such as on-site visits and proactive phone calls, professional negotiation, responsive communication and problem resolution. Act as a liaison between home office departments and the customer to initiate plan improvements and resolve issues. - Provide plan design consulting services. - Drive client retention by delivering annual plan review to decision makers as well as initiate proactive client contact and meetings. Provide investment advisory service, fund lineup updates, and regulatory reports. - Coordinate and assist in the installation of assigned new groups with the plan sponsor and channel relationships. - Facilitate and deliver all aspects of the enrollment, re-enrollment, and education process. To succeed in this exciting role you will need: - Three or more years demonstrated client service/relationship management experience in the retirement plans field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. - Advanced knowledge of qualified plans, investments, Department of Labor regulations, ERISA, IRS code pertaining to retirement plans, compliance issues, and legislative acts. - Professional certification required: NASD Series 6, 63, and 65. Retirement plans industry certification is a plus. ASPA designation is a plus. - Bachelors Degree required. Degree or experience in Business Administration preferred. - Strong customer service skills including advanced presentation and negotiation skills, strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Bilingual Spanish skills a plus. - Ability to travel within the assigned territory up to 50% of time, including the ability for overnight travel of up to 10% within the assigned territory.
