Client Reporting Analyst/GIPS Specialist
New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM), an integrated asset management enterprise with over $250 billion in assets under management, is currently seeking an experienced Client Reporting Analyst/GIPS Specialist who will be responsible for the coordination of all GIPS related activities for the NYLIM GIPS Firm as well as the creation and delivery of GIPS compliant third-party reporting to internal and external clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Coordination of all GIPS related activities including:
Ø Ensure strict, firm level adherence to GIPS Standards
Ø Responsible for the coordination of the quarterly GIPS Performance Examination for NYLIM’s marketed composites
Ø Serve as a key member of the monthly GIPS Working Group meetings and assist in the preparation of the semi-annual GIPS Oversight Committee meetings
Ø Maintenance of all the NYLIM GIPS Composites and oversight of composite performance and relevant statistics
Ø Preparation and delivery of internal and external weekly and monthly performance reports
Ø Prepare GIPS compliant reports for third party clients
Ø Interface with all levels of management e.g., portfolio management and business management
Ø Participate in departmental and interdepartmental projects.
Ø Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers
Ø Promote customer-focussed approach, both internally and externally
Knowledge and Skills
Ø Minimum 5 years direct experience in the investment management industry with experience in the following areas:
Ø Proven experience and knowledge of performance measurement methodologies including modified deitz and true-time weighted
Ø Solid working knowledge of the GIPS Standards
Ø Strong analytical background
Ø Strong oral and written communication skills
Ø Strong presentation skills
Ø Strong project management skills
Ø Proven experience with establishing and maintaining strong customer relations both internally and externally
