CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Chief Investment Officer to join Moneta Group, one of St. Louis' oldest and most highly regarded financial planning organizations. 

 

Job Summary

The Chief Investment Officer plans and directs all aspects of the firm’s investment programs.  Oversees the research, evaluation and selection of asset classes and investment vehicles, and makes decisions which align the investment selections with the organization’s goals. Represents the firm in public forums, works closely with the Investment Selection Committee to recommend and implement firm-wide investment guidelines and provides education to firm’s teams and their clients.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Chief Investment Officer can expect to focus in the following areas:

¨  Guide Moneta Group in all strategic decisions regarding the investment of client portfolios; acting as standard-bearer for Moneta’s investment philosophies.

¨  Continuing evaluation of Moneta’s investment philosophy.

¨  Perform due diligence on all investment opportunities to discern those investments that fulfill the strategy in the best interest of the clients.

¨  Communication of all investment related issues internally and externally.  This includes a quarterly investment newsletter and other materials and research appropriate for distribution to clients.

¨  Works in concert with other department heads to provide outstanding support and service to teams and their clients.

 

Qualifications

The Chief Investment officer position typically requires the following qualifications:

¨  Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics (Master’s preferred)

¨  CFA designation

¨  20 years of investments/analysis experience

¨  Highly motivated to continue learning

¨  Passionate about investments

¨  Effective interpersonal communication skill, both written and verbal

¨  Networking and relationship building skills

¨  Team player with strong coaching and listening skills

¨  Strong leadership skills
