Business Systems Consultant 4

Job Description: Join Wells Capital Management as a Business Analyst on the Business Systems Consultant team. Position is primarily responsible for providing technology support for the Performance Measurement and Reporting Team, as well as assisting with Eagle PACE technology project initiatives. Acts as a liaison between Performance team and the technical area by analyzing complex business problems and defining technology solutions. Responsible for working with end users to provide training, answer questions, resolve system issues, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Works with business partners to develop technology concepts, business requirements, technical specifications, and test plans for new systems initiatives. A major part of this role involves coordinating vendor relationships and leveraging them to understand and resolve issues as necessary. Develops test plans, executes test scripts and researches, tracks and resolves issues. May also be called on to help support other investment systems, specifically portfolio accounting and client reporting systems as required. Minimum Qualifications: Experience implementing and supporting complex vended systems or data warehouses/data marts. Strong interpersonal communication (written and oral) and organizational skills. At least 3 years of experience in a role demonstrating strong business analyst, quality assurance and application support expertise. A four-year degree is required. Self-starter with an ability to pick-up new concepts and skills quickly. Goal oriented. Able to manage numerous issues/projects simultaneously. Able to interact effectively with a variety of contacts/relationships, including mid-level managers. Skilled in querying SQL databases via direct SQL and reporting tools. Skilled in the use of MS Office products, specifically Excel and Access macros. Preferred Skills: Experience at buy-side or sell-side investment firm. Experience implementing and supporting portfolio accounting or performance measurement systems such as Eagle's PACE or STAR, Advent's APX or Geneva; Princeton Financial System's PAM; CheckFree's APL or EPL, StatPro Analytics, Sungard's InvestOne or Asset Arena Performance.
