The objective of this position is to establish processes for Line of Business/Solution owners to implement and manage to profitability improvement resulting in enhanced operational efficiency and profitability over time. Working closely with senior management of the company, the incumbent will develop action plans needed to improve Solution and LOB profitability based on specific targets for costs and margins and will also implement a reporting process to correlate these plans with LOB/Solution profitability targets consistent with Financial Analysis metrics. Specifically, the incumbent will work with various electronic systems and using these and analytical tools, will interact with the Director of Financial Analysis to review operations, products/line of business solutions and other market metrics for the Company. Using Company-derived finance and operations metrics, incumbent will define action plans for multi-year performance plans consistent with the Company?s business plan. Incumbent will meet with senior management to review respective action plans, assist with implementation to enhance profitability and will monitor and report against performance.QualificationsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with individuals and/or groups and give presentations utilizing various audio/visual support aids.2. Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.3. Ability to utilize personal computer, telephone, facsimile, copier, calculator and other general office equipment.4. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions that will have a significant impact on the organization.5. Ability to demonstrate strong reasoning and analytical skills resulting in in-depth financial and operational analysis.6. Ability to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:1. Develop detailed profit plans for Line Of Business Solutions to manage profitability to Company standards and focusing on the business plan, market competition, economic indicators and quality servicing of customer needs. Establish solution targets for margins and direct, indirect and overhead costs.2. Coordinate with the Director of Financial Analysis to identify and implement processes to improve solution profit through any or all of the following: cost reductions, price increases, achievement of critical mass volumes to leverage fixed costs, adding or growing higher margin solutions, elimination of unprofitable solutions or reduction of expenses based on margin analysis, including or direct, indirect and overhead costs.3. Properly develop plans, complete analysis and report findings in a timely manner to assure successful results.4. Influence the strategic decision-making process for governance of profitability and operational performance plans with regard to the Company?s products and services through presentation of profit plans to senior management.5. Utilize cost/benefit, IRR, present value and discounted cash flow analyses, and other financial modeling techniques, to develop and understand rating metrics for all products and services offered by the Company.6. Must interact professionally with all levels within the organization.7. Metrics to be considered in and potentially impacted by all analyses conducted by the incumbent:a. $210+ million in annualized revenueb. 50+Solutionsc. 5 major lines of businessd. 6 Divisional inputs, as well as executive department inpute. $65 million in operating expense levels will be impacted by incumbent?s workf. $120+ million of external costs will be impacted by incumbent?s workg. 600+ employees in all divisions will be indirectly affected by work outputs. 9. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.EDUCATION:Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA preferred.EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:1. Minimum ten (10) years of accounting or financial analysis experience required, with a minimum five (5)years in business process design/analysis or senior analytical capacities.2. PC Windows-based software experience required with advanced knowledge in Word, Excel, Hyperion Essbase, Access and PowerPoint applications.3. Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, database software, data mining and information extraction. Experience with ABC OROS, Siebel and other executive information systems preferred.4. Strong project management, time management and organizational skills required, including proven experience with effective negotiations within a large organization.5. Must manage multiple priorities and work with limited supervision at times.
