We also manage to keep a sense of humor along the way.  So if you’re ready for WaMu, read on!This individual will work closely with business owners and information technology groups to develop Management Information System reports, automated processes, and creative solutions to support various departments within WaMu Card Services.  This Business Data Analyst III will obtain and analyze information from various data sources, providing both automated production reports and ad hoc analyses/requests when needed.  In addition, this individual may be responsible for project planning and scheduling for assigned MIS projects.  This Business Data Analyst III will be tasked with the design, development, documentation, testing, and maintenance of measurement and analytical tools.   The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be an independent problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot in a team environment.  The candidate will be experienced in database development and the analysis, designing and building of both management and operational reports.  A demonstrated aptitude in the presentation of information and the understanding of user/business requirements is required.   Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Access is required.  Candidate must be proficient with one of the following: MS SQL Server 2000/2005 or Oracle 8/9i/10g/11g.  Additional expertise is required in one of the following: Crystal Reports X/XI, Business Object XI or SQL Server Reporting Services.  Knowledge of SAS EG 4.x is a plus.  Candidate must be skilled in SQL scripting languages and be able to work under minimal supervision within a tight schedule.    Minimum Requirements:   3 plus years of Access and Excel 3 plus years writing Stored Procedures 4 plus years with SQL Server and/or Oracle 4 plus years generating MIS reports   Washington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
