This position will be responsible for working with third-party providers to ensure the accurate day-to-day administration of the health and welfare plans. Detailed job responsibilities include:   Administer employee leaves of absence, coordinate with Managers and third party administrator for approvals and with Ceridian to process applicable payroll. Audit plan billings and payments for claims and administrative expenses to ensure consistency with contracted rates.  Process authorized invoices for payment. Track Plan costs to expectations using spreadsheets and other software to project annualized costs. Audit payroll processing to ensure accurate employee benefit deductions.  Reconcile payroll reports to carrier data. First level of response if benefits issues are escalated beyond the Ceridian Employee Service Center representatives / Tier II benefits support. Regular review of web content to ensure that employee benefit resources are consistent across medium (KB / Ceridian / Overview Document) and in-line with current business practice. Assist with ensuring legal compliance, keep up-to-date on new developments in this area. Coordinate with accounting to provide backup and source documentation for reconciliation purposes. Develop and maintain procedures for position responsibilities. Support annual enrollment process. Support Wellness Program initiatives. Job Requirements: Ideal candidates will have a passion and enthusiasm for employee benefits and at least three years experience in leave, health, and retirement administration. Additional qualifications include:   · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. · Familiarity with ERISA, HIPAA, LOA and COBRA regulations. · Knowledge of payroll practices as they relate to benefits calculations and deductions. · Prior multi-state leave administration experience required. · Professional experience in a Windows environment with intermediate to advanced experience using Excel. · CEBS or PHR a plus. · Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, accountability and timeliness. · Ability to effectively plan, organize and oversee day-to-day responsibilities of the function(s) assigned and to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously and with minimum supervision. · Ability to anticipate, identify quantify and resolve problems in a timely manner. · Ability to interact constructively and sensitively with departmental coworkers, customers throughout the company and outside vendors. · Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.  Division/Department : Symetra Financial Travel Required : None Location: Bellevue, WA 98004 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Human Resources Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
