BancWest Investment Services, a subsidiary of Bank of the West, has an excellent opportunity for a motivated team leader to provide financial planning strategies for our clients by assessing their past, present and future financial needs, objectives and requirements, and provide relevant financial advice and investment products to meet those needs.

This position can be filled in one of the following areas: Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, or Northridge, CA.

The chosen candidate will:

• Meet/exceed BWIS monthly sales and revenue goals by providing financial strategies for client financial needs through profiling and analyzing what investment products are in the client’s best interest
• Complete and submit all required BWIS paperwork and documentation neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and BWIS compliance policies and procedures.
• Maintain licensing requirements in the form of continuing education, and fulfillment of compliance and regulatory requirements
• Establish/maintain relationships with branch personnel
• Provide outstanding customer service by following up on any client service request
• Provide sales training and coaching for branch personnel in conjunction with BWIS Regional Sales Manager

Candidates must possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of demonstrated sales experience in securities/financial industry
• NASD Series 7, 63, and state insurance licenses (Series 65 or 66 helpful)
• Knowledge of the securities/financial industry
• Bank product and service knowledge
• A strong customer service orientation
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills
• PC proficiency with MS Office, including Word and Excel with the ability to navigate easily through Internet-based systems
• The ability to work well in a team environment
