Annuity Service Representative
Respond to basic inquiries and information requests, and process service requests from agents and policyholders regarding annuity products and administrative procedures in a timely and efficient manner. More complex or technical questions and problems are referred to senior-level representatives. This is an entry-level customer service and processing role in the department with training provided in respect to department policies and procedures.
1. Review, respond to and process incoming service requests from policyholders, agents and corporate personnel.
2. Communicate with annuitants, agents, and others via written correspondence and provide quality service to them.
3. Develop and maintain a detailed working knowledge of GAFRI products and procedures.
4. Review team workflow to ensure individual processing standards are met.
5. Refer more complex questions and problems to the Senior Annuity Service Representative or Supervisor.
6. Function as a team player to maintain positive and effective communication and interaction with co-workers.
Other duties:
1. Approve stop payment and Void check requests within approval limits established.
2. Provide feedback to Supervisor and Manager concerning the efficiency of the team and company operations.
3. Other duties as assigned at the direction of management based on business needs.
4. Participate in department and company processes.
High School diploma
One year of insurance or related customer service experience is preferred
One year of data entry experience is preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized and detail-oriented…the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Accurate keyboarding skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work within time constraints and maintain quality standards
