GENERAL SUMMARY:The Director Advanced Markets is to provide producers with specific advanced markets support to generate sales. This includes, but is not limited to, designing cases, understanding advanced life insurance concepts, providing product recommendations, developing advanced sales marketing tools, presenting life insurance concepts at various locations across the country, writing articles and materials for agent use, and researching technical tax/legal questions.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Advanced markets case design- Advanced case research and development- Advanced sales question research, including, but not limited to: product, tax, and legal.- Creation of advanced sales marketing tools- Writing articles and technical materials for agents’ use- Act as a liaison between agents and home offices to facilitate sales made using advanced concepts- Support the sale of carrier specific and BISYS proprietary advanced sales plansKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Very good technical skills (advanced markets case design, life insurance product knowledge, gift, estate and income tax knowledge)- Solid understanding of various tax and legal rules, as it pertains to life insurance- Excellent communication skills- Excellent writing and technical research skills- Exceptional organizational and time management skills- Knowledge of carrier specific advanced sales concepts- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teamsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelors degree with a business, finance, or marketing major preferred - Law degree, CPA and/or Masters in Taxation preferred- CLU, ChFC, and/or CFP expected- At least five (5) years minimum experience in an Advanced Markets function or similar role (including law firm or accounting organization)- Management experience preferred We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
