We are seeking an Administrative Assistant – Intermediate for our Santa Barbara, CA office!

The Assistant will provide administrative support for the Mercer Pension Department team to complete a combined task involving document forms processing for the retirement plan restatement project.

Principle ResponsibilitiesDuties will also include preparing client files and correspondence, as needed.Scan, photocopy, collate and assemble documents, as required; Communicate with clients to obtain detailed information, as needed.Maintain information filing systems, including updating client databases.Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsPossess at minimum a High School Diploma.Two plus years of business experience within an intermediate administrative capacity. Excellent computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Knowledge of Relius software a plus but not required.Familiar and comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, the Internet and emerging technologies. Strong skills in creativity and problem solving. Superior organizational, time management and attention to detail skills. Excellent and pleasant interpersonal and communication skills; Competitive level of initiative and creativity. Must have a positive nature, can-do attitude and be a team player.

Hourly Pay Rate Range

 

· $13.00 - 15.00/hour, non-exempt

 

Work Schedule

 

· This will be a long term temporary position; starting September 2, 2008 through April 30, 2010.

· Weekly Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM through 3:30PM (through October 31, 2008).

· Effective November 1, 2008: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM through 5:00PM; continuing through the end of the assignment.

· Assignment end date:  Friday, April 30, 2010

 

Relocation coverage is not offered with this position.
