We value self-management, initiative, flexibility and innovation.The scope of this job:  Investment income and yield analysis for Allstate’s investment portfolios and coordination of certain processes to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements. The individual will be responsible for: Analysis of Allstate’s investment portfolios, including investment income and yield analyses and reporting on a monthly basis.  Includes acting as liaison between Allstate Investments and its customers regarding income results and reporting those results to various levels of management. Coordination of certain processes to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements such as FAS115, FAS91 and Form 8K. Reporting and Analysis of investment-related unrealized and realized capital gains and losses. Prepare, review and analyze various reports for internal and external customers related to the GAAP, STAT, and Tax reporting process. Participation in Investment Operations’ process for identification and resolution of financial issues and errors.  Managerial responsibilities including overseeing staff of 5 professionals. The skills required are: Intermediate - Works effectively in a team environment and maximizes team effectiveness Intermediate - General accounting knowledge  Advanced - Organizational, problem solving, detail oriented, oral and written communication Advanced - Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments. Advanced - Initiative, self-motivation, professional demeanor and desire to learnExperience Required:7-10 years of professional accounting and reporting experience.  3-4 years of Investment experience, with focus on analysis, is highly preferred.  Supervisory or project lead experience is highly preferred. Computer Proficiency: (computer skills needed to do the job) Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, Access, Outlook, Word SAP or other general ledger applications. Intermediate querying skills a strong plus. Education:  College degree Major preference:  Accounting  (CPA required, MBA preferred)
