Accounting Specialist
The MandMarblestone Group, a progressive, team oriented legal/consulting firm, seeks a motivated, service oriented individual to join our professional team as a Accounting Specialist specializing in analysis. This position supports the financial operations of the Firm by providing and maintaing financial statements, bank reconciliations and other financial reporting and analysis. Based on qualifications and work experience, salary range for this position is $35,000 to $45,000. Essential Job Functions: •Prepare a month end financial reporting package (including FinancialStatements and Management Information Report) using Excel and Quickbooks. •Prepare journal entries (depreciation, payroll, accruals, etc.), analyses, account reviews, reports for financial statements per monthly schedule (see attached). •Analyze transaction details daily to ensure expenses were properly recorded. •Prepare bank reconciliations using Quickbooks. •Record daily in Quickbooks all cash activity including expense entries (i.e., bank fees, interest, payroll, etc), transfers between accounts, and deposits.
•Billing; Generate monthly invoices and make recommendations to resolve client billing inquiries and errors.•Create and maintain cash flow projections. Requirements: •Minimum 2 years in the accounting field. •BA/BS in Finance or Accounting REQUIRED. •Organization skills are required. •Strong communication skills are essential since you will need to contact banks, clients, and financial institutions. •Experience with financial statements, journal entries, Microsoft Office (excel, outlook, word), Word Perfect, and month end reports/deadlines. •Experience in the retirement industry is a plus.
