AVP Portfolio Accounting

Working knowledge of general ledger packages -Manager within Portfolio Accounting department with shared services responsibilities -Manage group of finance professionals that perform accounting and reconciliation functions in support of CIT business units -Ensure compliance with CIT's accounting policies -Responsible for managing accounting functions including monthly close process, account analysis, income review, reconciliation, and journal processing. -Liaise with corporate controllers and Operations department regarding accounting processes and procedures -Support the vision and strategic direction/initiatives of the Finance dept. -Manage the compilation of quarterly 10Q and 10K cash flow report schedules -Provide performance development and career coaching to direct reports Experience: 6-10 years experience in Finance Industry preferably in lending leasing environment -Prior managerial experience -Accounting degree required work in team environment for project orientated assignments -Effective organizational and communication skills -Good problem solving and analytical skills -Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Location Livingston, NJ 07039 Start Date: Monday, August 04, 2008 About CIT A Leading Diversified Commercial Finance Company CIT is a leading global finance company, driving economic growth and creating opportunities for businesses and people around the world.
