WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?

Position is responsible for the actuarial management and oversight of the $400 million book of General Liability business and is the lead actuarial influence on the development of new GL products and product strategy. The incumbent manages a team of 4, which consists of one Director level actuary and three analysts/students. The Director level actuary will lead research support, advancement of ratemaking methodology and third party pricing model innovations. The analysts will support research, rate filings and product development activities.

The accountabilities of the position include:

- Influence and develop the future vision for our GL products including Umbrella.
- Continually improve our understanding of loss costs trends and pricing needs.
- Provide actuarial expertise in support of the Operating Plan (leverage working group and analysis of change assumptions, pegging analysis for products and umbrella)
-Advance the actuarial science behind rate indications for Prem/Ops, Products and Umbrella sublines.
- Develop and implement the GL rate plan.
