Vice President of Operations
Leading midtown cultural institution with $12 million/year budget and 200+ staff seeks VP/Operations.  The New 42nd Street is an independent non-profit organization with long-term responsibility for 7 historic theaters on 42nd Street west of Times Square, including the full-time operation of The New 42nd Street Studios, The Duke on 42nd Street theater, and The New Victory Theater. As part of a five-member executive team reporting directly to the President/CEO, the VP/Operations will serve as landlord’s representative for the 7 theaters; manage all capital projects; oversee the operation of an 84,000 sq. ft. rehearsal/performance/office building, and direct the facilities management of the New 42nd Street properties. Successful candidate will have substantial experience in:  facilities management and design/construction, including NYC-funded projects; performing arts management and appreciation for the rehearsal/ performance process; and knowledge of basic real estate law. Candidates must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills; executive-level reporting skills; extensive personnel management experience, and willingness to adapt and grow with the organization. BA degree required; graduate degree desirable. Competitive salary/benefits offered. Â
