Will be heavily involved in making evaluations and recommendations to leadership focusing on new distribution technologies, leading to new business opportunities and usage models that better address the needs of consumers. Will be involved in driving improvements in anti-piracy practices and technology, and protection of our digital assets. Will work along with leading companies in industry segments critical to our success, and assist in influencing the outcomes of key initiatives and issues related to the motion picture industry.The successful candidate will combine a sound technical base and the ability to focus on and complete assignments with the ability for strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.Primary Duties & Responsibilities* Oversee and evaluate service operations* Test and evaluate technology vendors* Identify new digital business* Will be responsible for maintaining current knowledge and expertise in primary digital technologies: Consumer / mobile devices Interoperability and Home network initiatives Web 2.0 technology trends Digital Cinema Anti piracy and DRM Content Identification and Forensics BluRay / HD-DVD Digital Film Archive Digital workflow architecture and efficiencies* Oversee, conduct and maintain executive technology demos* Design, develop and conduct test systems and test plans for vendor technology* Perform product test and evaluations* Oversee research and collation of executive technology reports* Review and approve capital equipment requests* Support senior staff members activities across the boardQualifications:Basic qualifications:* Technical bachelors degree* 7 years minimum experience developing digital media advanced technology and operations * Demonstrated Project Management skillsDesired skills:*Technical Graduate degree or business degree preferred in computer science, electrical engineering, etc.* Experience working in cross-industry technical groups * Experienced in initiating and completing projects and engineering evaluations.* Must be strategic with the ability to manage up and articulate ideas. * Position requires strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.* R& D with new technology development experience*Strong experience working with consumer entertainment devices and home networking* Must have strong communication and presentation skills, well versed in communicating with all levels of executives ired skills:Eligibility requirements:* Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation* Must be able to show eligibility to work in the United StatesSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Hollywood, CAJob Number: 5411Company URL: http://www.paramount.com/careers
