Registration or Reservation Coordinator

Title: Registration Coordinator Department: SeminarsEmployment Type: Full -time

Currently Parker College of Chiropractic is accepting applications for a full-time registration coordinator in the seminars department.  This position will report directly to the assistant director of seminars.

Job Objectives

Manage registration, compose seminars copy for web, newsletters, other seminar related print materials and administrative tasks as assigned.  

Job Responsibilities: Responsible for seminar attendee registrations, answering web registration questions, badge production and assisting of on-site registration process Manage and analyze registration statistical data. Organize and maintain accurate registration files. Upsell and build excitement and anticipation with all registration that call in.  ie. Encourage to book room and preferred hotel. Tell a friend and register others within the office. Understands and maintains registration database for both attendees and exhibitors. Assist Assistant Director and Director in planning and implementing vision, goals and objectives of Parker College of Chiropractic and Parker Seminars. Assist with budget and tracking expenses. Serve as primary contact for problem resolution and information gathering regarding customer complaints and seminar information. Keeps apprised of developments in field of on-line registration and makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency/effectiveness. Manage all aspects of on-line and on-site registration and attendee management related to each event. Answer incoming calls with accurate information and timely follow-up in a courteous manner. Serves as the primary person to answer the telephone for seminar registration, and other employees will backup/assist in the answering of the telephone. Write, edit and proof copy for the seminar registration, seminar web pages, newsletters and other seminar related print materials. Overtime required when necessary to support deadlines. Ability to drive with valid driver’s license and 5 percent travel may be required.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma and five years of work experience in a professional environment. Extensive computer/software knowledge required at the intermediate level in Excel, Power Point, Word and Database. Experience in the Events/Travel/ Hotel industry and/or with MeetingTrak or other registration software is a plus, but not required.
