Quality Control Technician - Auditor - Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Position responsible for quality control and reducing # of unauthorized accounts in the entire Central Alabama System to the Comcast established performance metrics.
-Perform Quality Control work on contractors and in house technicians ensuring Comcast specifications, guidelines and procedures are followed.
-Responsible for overseeing, monitoring and verifying all in-house and contractors' work.
-Verify proper tagging of drops and termination of tap ports, status of accounts, disconnected or unauthorized account, proper installation and all non-existent and duplicate addresses as reported by contractors.
-Collaborate with police(following approval of the General Manager) and other appropriate authorities to address the theft of cable in the system.
-Troubleshoot and fix problems created by contractors or in-house.
-Ensure full compliance of contractors' responsibilities as outlined in contract.
-Coordinate all, if any, charge backs associated with contractors' performance.
-Maintain accurate Quality Control records/logs
-Install, service, disconnect, change or reconnect current services, digital, high definition, HSI, CDV and future enhanced company services and products as needed.
-Complete work in accordance with all applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with all municipal, state and federal law guidelines.
-Quality Control technician will be responsible for monthly CLI Rideout functions insuring Comcast CLI metrics are met and adhered to.
-Other duties as assigned.
-Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.


Required Skills:
-High School Graduate or equivalent.
-Minimum 1 year experience as a Communications Technician 3 or above.
-Ability to climb poles and ladder.
-Good verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to lift 80 lbs. and handle a ladder on a continual basis throughout the day.
-Ability to work overtime as needed.
-Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
-Maintain a good driving record, safe habits, and a valid driver's license.
