Commercial Real Estate Generalist/GIS Specialist

 

Located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we are a 73-year old, publicly held corporation committed to providing the best entertainment experience in the Midwest.  As an integral part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a motivated individual to manage a variety of projects and assist the Director of Real Estate in all core functions.  The position affords a well-rounded candidate a hands-on opportunity to engage in all aspects of commercial real estate acquisition, disposition, leasing, development and portfolio management. Duties include market analysis, site selection, site submittal review, market research, negotiation, contract review, surplus land marketing/disposition/development, leasing and more.  In addition, the role requires daily use of in-house GIS technology. GIS duties include data collection, application and analysis; cartography; preparation of multi-level GIS presentations; spatial analysis and editing; research and minor programming.  Use GIS technology to update our site criteria, build models for growth, and identify new markets and sites. 

Qualifications: 

·         Bachelor level degree in business, geography, urban planning, real estate, marketing or related field

·         Excellent understanding of commercial real estate concepts, process, terminology

·         GIS Certificate a plus

·         Prefer 1-2 years post graduate experience working in commercial real estate (development, planning, brokerage or other) and experience applying GIS technology and analysis in the private sector or government

·         Practical, hands-on knowledge of GIS desktop applications, especially MapInfo, Anysite and ESRI data as well as Internet-based add-ons (aerial photography etc)

·         High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Internet

 

Other Required Skills:

The successful candidate will have the ability to self-direct and work autonomously as well as cooperate in a team-oriented environment and take direct instruction.  This individual must be self-motivated, creative, and accountable, with an ability to tackle projects and see them through to completion, and a willingness to handle diverse assignments.  This position requires a person with a professional demeanor, the ability to prioritize, strong computer skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.  Some air and auto travel required.
