Accounting Manager
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Accounting Manger to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow with one of the pre-eminent media content and distribution companies in the world. Our client has holdings around the globe in several mediums including television, newspapers, magazines and inserts, filmed entertainment and book publishing.

Responsibilities
As a member of the corporate finance department, the Accounting Manager will be primarily responsible for the following:
• Supervise operations group of Head Office, including Balance Sheet and P&L groups
• Work with the General Ledger system to support the operations of Head Office, including over 40 corporate entities
• Oversight of all domestic and foreign inter-company accounts process including confirmation of balances and the calculation of monthly inter-company interest
• Oversee monthly analysis of various balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Oversight of preparation and submission of quarterly financial packages for all of the corporate entities
• Oversight of preparation and submission of quarterly reforecast and annual budget submissions
• Coordinate SOX 404 Testing and Reporting
• Coordinate IDA reporting and Audits
• Coordinate corporate reporting responsibilities for month and quarter end deadlines
• Assist senior management with ad-hoc projects

Requirements
• BA/BS in Accounting
• 5+ years accounting experience in either public or private (supervisory experience a plus)
• Ledger experience (Peoplesoft a plus)
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Advanced Excel Skills a plus)
• Must be able to work well in group environment, be able to work within strict deadlines, and must be able to take own initiative in work environment
• Must possess strong communication skills
