Web Engineer
Ergopedia, the innovative education technology company, is looking for a dynamic web engineer.
Started by MIT educators, Ergopedia is leading in the development of science and engineering curricula for secondary education. Ergopedia has created educational programs used by students in every state. Currently Ergopedia is developing, in collaboration with major US corporations, the next generation of science and engineering curricula including the technological basis for the electronic book.

Qualifications:
· Degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Physics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Significant experience with HTML (4 & 5) and CSS (1, 2 & 3).
· Strong scripting experience. Java script, PHP.
· Experience with database-driven design such as MYSQL databases, and interfacing PHP & MYSQL.
· Knowledge of the quirks between web browsers (Firefox, Safari, IE, Chrome), cross compatibility issues, ability to know how to design website elements that look similar across browser platforms.
· C programming experience is a plus. Familiarity with embedded systems such as PIC and or ATMEL is also a plus.
· Familiarity with Windows, MAC OS X
· Experience with Linux (Familiarity with Debian operating system a plus but not required.)
· Knowledge of setup & maintenance of a web server (Apache)
· Excellent communication, trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Desire and ability to work independently when needed and strong ability to communicate and collaborate with team members of various backgrounds.
· Willingness to innovate and to constructively challenge anything with supporting arguments.
· Must have the legal right to work in the USA.
Responsibilities:
· You will be responsible for the design, development and testing of the web-based electronic curriculum architecture.
· You will interact with other engineers, content writers, graphic designers and customers for the definition and implementation of design.
· You will be responsible for the documentation of the designs.
