Education: B.S. degree in Engineering, Management or related field supplemented by 6 - 10 years of experience in multiple segments of the DoD Engineering and Technical support functions. Two years of job-related experience may be substituted for each year of college.Work Experience Field: US Navy Program Management Office support experience with a strong technical knowledge of US Navy weapons systems. Experienced in writing program-level decision papers, white papers, and briefings required. Must be able to travel. Previous military service is a plus.Special Skills: The successful candidate will have a track history of successful direct customer support high level of organizational, leadership and management skills with an ability to perform independent detail-oriented work across several customer boundaries. Possess excellent communication and program office-level writing skills and be detail oriented with keen Analytical and Programmatic skills. Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance. Job Description : Provide contractor technical support services to the IWS 3B (Ram/Phalanx) Program Management Office as a Weapons System Engineer in support of the Close-In Weapon Systems (CIWS) (Phalanx, SeaRAM and LPWS). Execute Engineering analysis, management, planning and coordination for Weapons Systems Acquisition and Sustainment under limited supervision. This includes, but is not limited to: Assisting government personnel in the development and coordination efforts related to these Engineering efforts; Performing reviews, analysis and maintenance of engineering documentation; Provide direct support to the Program Office conducting Technical reviews and Engineering analysis of Emergent and In-Service weapons systems, Conducting research and analysis of engineering problems and determining engineering requirements in support of the CIWS programs. Review and comment against all Engineering documentation, prepare comment resolutions, including drafting Navy correspondence (e.g., letters, memos and route sheets), progress charts, spreadsheets, Gantt charts and presentations. Conduct Action Item tracking and resolution. Prepare draft analytical and final reports and meeting minutes for IWS3B. Perform other general administrative and program management tasks as directed by the customer. Interface with customers and coordinate tasks with other Navy activities and contractors. : : EOE M/F/D/V
