Water Resource Civil Engineer

Michael Baker Jr. Inc., a division of Michael Baker Corporation, seeks a Civil Engineer for the Water Resources Group in our Denver, Colorado office.

The  Lakewood, Colorado (Denver) office focuses  on Federal and Transportation projects.  Main clients are FEMA, the Regional Transportation District, and the Colorado Dept. of Transportation.  On the federal side, civil engineering  focus is currently on floodplain management, hydraulics and hydrology, and program management.  Our transportation planners and engineers focus on public transit planning and design, construction management, and scheduling.  Future projects include bridge structures, highways, and possibly airports.

 

Specialized skills needed to be successful in the Water Resource Engineer position include experience working with surface water and drainage system studies, flood control, use of hydrologic and hydraulic models as well as master planning and design.

 

Requirements for Water Resource Engineer:Bachelor of Science Degree  in Civil Engineering3-5 years related experience.  A Master’s degree can be substituted for 1-2 years of experience.Professional Engineer registrationComputer Skills:  Microsoft Office, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling, GIS
