Employee-centered culture where you create your own career path Incentive and performance bonuses Up to 20% funding into your retirement savings plan Company paid medical benefits Transportation Planning/Traffic Operations EIT Roles and Responsibilities of the Position:Candidate will assist with traffic engineering tasks including the preparation of traffic studies, signal timing, signal warrant analyses, signal design, safety analyses, roadway geometric design, ITS planning & design, signing & pavement marking plans, and specification & standards development. Candidate will assist with transportation planning tasks including traffic modeling, corridor planning, comprehensive planning, land use analyses, streetscape projects, multi-modal studies, other transportation studies and public involvement. Most tasks will involve using traffic engineering analytical software packages, technical writing and development of supporting graphics. Required Capabilities:· 1 - 3 years experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning with strong analytical skills · EIT designation with a desire to become a licensed P.E. in Virginia · Proven ability to work in team environments· Outstanding organizational skills· Ability to handle multiple tasks· Strong desire to grow into project manager/team leader · Outstanding communication skills – verbal, written and in a marketing environment· Understanding of the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) · Use of Synchro Professional and SimTraffic · Use and application of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)· Bachelors Degree: Civil Engineering Desirable Capabilities:· GIS and/or ITS experience · Traffic modeling and TRAFFIX experience · AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience If you have a passion for what you do, we want to hear from you!
