HNTB?s talented and dedicated professionals provide design and planning expertise that exceeds expectations.  We are seeking candidates for a Transportaton Planning Engineer III opportunity in our Arlington, VA office.Projects are located at some of the nation's largest airports and for transportation agencies in the mid-Atlantic states.  They include highway, transit, parking, and ped/bike studies for local, state, regional, and federal agencies.Duties: Within a given discipline, is fully competent to complete design efforts with minimal direction. On a task basis, is responsible for preparation and completion of discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs. Coordinates preparation of design details, plans, and drawings within assigned task areas. Responsible for discipline engineering designs. Help supervise, schedule and check work of project team members. Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Responsible for productivity of subordinates and on time, on budget projects. Technical analyses, concept development and evaluation, and documentation/presentation of process, findings, and recommendations on general transportation planning, traffic engineering, and airport landside planning projects.  Works closely with national experts on interdisciplinary teams, with more client exposure than typically found at this level.   Develop work plans and conduct transportation planning and traffic engineering analyses Collect data to support analyses Document and present results in-house, to the public, and to clients Develop CAD drawings of concepts and results Apply GIS as a planning tool Utilize HCS, Synchro, CORSIM, VISSIM, and similar standard transport engineering and planning software  We take an organized approach to nurturing and developing your career.
