Transit Account Executive - Railroad Products - Eastern Region
Stanley Hydraulic Tools, a division of the Stanley Works and recognized leader in railway track maintenance products, is currently seeking a Transit Account Executive (sales rep for transits) for our Midwest/Eastern Region. Base of operations preferred to be located in Midwest/East since the territory covers major transits in major cities throughout the Midwest and East. This position does not offer relocation.
This position works directly with the Transit customer with a primary responsibility of maintaining and growing sales for each assigned Transit property, by calling on current and potential Transits.
Duties:
- Demonstrate proper use of tools and perform minor product repairs
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to existing and new markets
- Resolve customer issues promptly
- Provide training for field service personnel and end users
- Assist in the negotiation of sales agreement
- Assist with forecasting and marketing strategies
- Gather market intelligence on competitor products
Education/Experience:
- Two or four-year degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- Two to three years of relevant experience selling hydraulic or pneumatic tools is preferred
Required:
- Candidate must have working knowledge of hydraulic and railway track maintenance products and preferably experience with the transit industry
- Solid understanding of customer needs, marketing and sales techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 80%)
- Ability to lift up to 90 pounds to demonstrate hydraulic tools
