Testing Technician

H.S. degree or equivalent, and must be able to operate a cellular-like communication device; follow written and oral instruction; speak clearly; write data legibly and enter data into tracking system. Previous military communication experience is ideal, but not required. Must be available to travel as needed local to Dahlgren Virginia for approximately 4-6 weeks beginning the first week in September 2008. Must be willing to work outside in most weather conditions. Job Description : EG&G is seeking temporary Testing Technicians to provide testing, data entry and analysis support for the NSWCDD J Department Program Office for a new satellite telephone system and network. Selected candidates will serve as part of a government-contractor team conducting field testing of new walkie-talkie type military phone. Candidates will run through technical scenarios taking notes on reliability of the communication. Testing will be conducted local to Dahlgren, Virginia. Transportation to the remote test sites will be provided. Local travel is expected, but need to have the flexibility for extended travel if necessary. : : EOE M/F/D/V
