Position Summary:
Promotes the sale of Maxon equipment, or services which require engineering knowledge sufficient to make judgments involving engineering and economic principles, and calculations to persuade potential buyers of the practical value of the product or service. Prepares proposals from records submitted by potential customers/representatives, and reports customer practices regarding utilization of Maxon products.
Position Responsibilities:
Works directly with branch office personnel, representative personnel, and customers in a technical sales support capacity. This includes; quote preparation, application engineering, and technical support. Gathers and correlates engineering data using established engineering procedures. Implements company policies such as pricing, discounts, and credits. Provides support for field sales personnel by gathering technical and production availability data. Plus other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Skills:
Good communication skills (verbal and written) and troubleshooting skills are required.
Fluency in Spanish helpful, but not necessary.
Experience:
A technical support or service oriented background is required. Experience as a Sales Engineer is preferred.
Technical background, sales or sales support experience, project managment experience needed.
