Technical Assistant-Histological
TECHNICAL ASSISTANT-HISTOLOGICAL, Biological Engineering, to join a new group studying the role and behavior of metakaryotic cells in human development and carcinogenesis. Will work under the supervision of more senior researchers receiving and preparing human tissue and tumor specimens to grow metakaryotic cells and study their molecular attributes. Candidates should study Gostjeva et al., Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics, 164:16-24 (2006) for an introduction to this new area.
REQUIREMENTS: technical experience preparing and growing cells from tissue specimens and with the procedures employed in medical pathology laboratories. A B.S. or equivalent research experience is preferred. MIT-00004527 8/27/08
