Huntsman has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual as a Team Lead – Regulatory Compliance, Product EHS Management – Americas Region located at our Huntsman Advanced Technology Center in The Woodlands, Texas. 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Regulatory SupportTeam Lead for Product Regulatory Compliance – Americas RegionPrimary Product Regulatory Compliance support contact for Performance Products – Americas RegionAssist R&D/manufacturing/marketing staff with ensuring regulatory compliance/reporting for all products manufactured in the United States and CanadaSupport Product EHS Teams in Europe/Asia to ensure regulatory compliance with imports to Americas Region and exports to EAME/APAC countriesParticipate in Product EHS global Functional Teams/Task Forces, including Huntsman’s Americas Region REACH TeamAssist with tracking regulatory initiatives and existing regulations to identify potential issues that could impact Huntsman and ensure these are addressed by our global issue Management Team



Product Stewardship & Advocacy SupportThis position frequently provides direct support to both Huntsman’s customers and technical staff for regulatory related questions on existing and experimental productsAssist with customer requests for completion of regulatory summary forms for specific Huntsman productsPosition requires periodic interaction with regulatory agencies in support of Huntsman products

 Education/ExperienceMinimum of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required Minimum of 10 years chemical industry or related work experience in technical or regulatory positions requiredPrior technical/technical service experience within Huntsman or the US chemical industry very beneficialPrior Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) and/or Canadian chemical regulation experience very desirable but not essential

 General RequirementsExcellent leadership skills demonstrated in prior position assignmentsMust have good interpersonal skills and function well in a team environment with minimum day-to-day supervisionExcellent written and oral communication skills are neededOccasional domestic/international travel required
