Systems Engineer - Risk Management

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related field. Seven to ten years of job-related experience is required.Risk management experience is required in a Navy, NavAir, or DoD Engineering program.Experience working with senior-level (GS-14-level and above) System Engineering and Program Management Leads; experience in DOD acquisition, program management, and aviation related programs and in systems engineering/integration of complex systems.Requires excellent organizational skills, personnel leadership and management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent analytical skills and be customer-oriented; Must have the ability to identify and analyze risk, facilitate/execute mitigation planning and mitigation control.Must be well versed in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. MUST be able to pass/obtain the required DoD clearance (active DoD clearance is preferred). Job Description : EG&G Technical Services Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Engineer to support an ACAT 1C Program in the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-262), serving as the Risk Management Coordinator for the Board Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) UAS Program. You will oversee and manage the BAMS Risk Program using information about potential risk events to help set risk mitigation objectives, develop acquisition and management strategies, and identify metrics that allow continuous tracking and assessment of its program/projects status. You will also serve as the Subject Matter Expert for risk management issues to include: Identifying critical risks that would prevent the program/projects from achieving its objectives; facilitating the identified risks assessment to determine the likelihood of occurrence and the consequences of the risks if they do occur; developing/providing risk mitigation strategies; tracking efforts to reduce moderate and high risk to acceptable levels.
