Join ViaSat’s team in Carlsbad, California and help to continue ViaSat’s growth and leadership in the communications field.This is a System Test Engineer position on a development project working on a development team in a lab environment.  The successful candidate may be an Electrical Engineer or Computer Engineer.Will perform verification of a Government Information Assurance product.  Verification scope includes Functional Testing, Requirements Testing, Security Verification Testing and Product Test. Verification includes planning, development, execution and test script automation of test scenarios.  Documentation includes plans, procedures, status and reports.Experience/Skills Required Successful candidate will have the ability to execute witnessed testing viewed and signed off by the customer. Preparation of procedures and reports for testing complex electronic products is required.Experience with scripted test automation (i.e., Python, Perl, Tcl, GPIB/HPIB, bdi) desired. Background in embedded information assurance or security products desired. Experience in Linux, hardware-software integration/troubleshooting, white-box testing, and negative testing desired. Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes desired.
