70,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD /year Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Relevant Work Experience: 10+ to 15 Years Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Email: Apply by Email Reference Code: DC116216mt1 Survey Manager / RLS - Licensed Surveyor with Local Arizona Exp Needed for Growing Firm Survey Manager / RLS - Phoenix office of a nationwide engineering firm is seeking a local RLS to manage the Survey Department and make sure that the department is working productively with the other departments and business units, becoming an integral part of the firm. Must have 5+ years of  experience as Survey Manager or Project Surveyor, with prior experience as a Party Chief, with hands-on experience operating survey equipment. PLS / RLS licensure in Arizona is required.Local experience is needed, as you will be responsible for marketing activities within the survey department. Will also be responsible for reviewing potential survey projects with department heads and/or clients to determine: the scope of work; the personnel resources and equipment necessary to accomplish the work and prepare technical and cost proposals to accomplish the work. Will evaluate priorities, coordinate, and organize the work effort and prepare daily work assignments for field and office staff. Other responsibilities include: performing or directing research of public records and company archives to supply field and office personnel with information necessary to accomplish assigned tasks; setting the technical standards and supervising the work being performed; performing or reviewing calculations to determine boundaries, areas, and quantities; consulting with Office Survey Technicians, assisting, and directing final computations; ensuring that the final map or plat represents a comprehensive and accurate description of the field survey;  stamping and signing survey work products; budgeting and invoice review. In addition, will be responsible for daily supervision of employees in the Survey Department, including: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Position reports to the Branch Manager.   Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
