Staffing Specialist II

STAFFING SPECIALIST II, Broad Institute, to develop and execute recruiting plans and strategies for multiple program/platform positions, with a focus on the bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, and life science disciplines. Will recruit high-level Ph.D. candidates and technical staff in biotech, e.g., mathematicians, engineers, and scientists; manage and execute the full life-cycle recruitment process to attract qualified candidates and fill open positions with top talent; exercise sound judgment and exert influence on the relevant objectives and on the long-range staffing goals of the organization; develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity while managing precedents; and coordinate and execute visa and work authorization policies and procedures for job candidates. Will also partner with the HR partner to deliver services in the areas of compensation, employee relations, staffing, organizational development, learning and performance management, data management, and reporting; and participate in other generalist HR functions, initiatives, and special projects.

REQUIREMENTS: a B.A./B.S. degree; a minimum of five years' experience in a high volume recruiting environment in the life science industry or as a technical recruiter; demonstrated ability to recruit, select, and hire qualified and diverse applicants; experience recruiting high level Ph.D. candidates and technical staff in biotech, including mathematicians, engineers, and scientists; ability to develop clear job specifications and effective recruiting and sourcing strategies; and ability to foster positive business partner relationships, coach and mentor others, and function both independently and as a team member. Must demonstrate responsiveness, a strong bias for action, a sense of urgency, and a customer focus. MIT-00005793-N 8/26/08
