CA for video service providers has its origins in the former Scientific Atlanta SciCare Broadband Services organization, which helped service providers launch networks and services, expand, upgrade and build networks, integrate Scientific Atlanta technology with third-party and legacy products, manage key projects, plan, design, test, certify, operate and maintain network systems and train staff members on the latest broadband technologies and techniques.  We are currently hiring in Lawrenceville, GA for the following: Staff Network Systems Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION: The Core Network Engineer acts as the end-to-end technical leader and architect for complex systems as well as managing a small group of Engineers. Produces block diagrams and high level designs. Provides technical support in sales presentations, and product demonstrations. Works in lab environment to implement designs as a technical proof of concept and produces documentation allowing designs to be implemented by others in the field. Troubleshoots system level problems with designs once implemented in the field. Delivers technical presentations to various management levels both internal and customer. Provides answers to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications. Interfaces with 3rd party hardware and software vendors. Uses a wide range of experience and professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues. Minimum Requirements: 8 + years’ related technical experience in broadcast or telecommunications 2 + years of IP networking (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, Multicast) 2 + years with Cisco routers and switches 2 + years cable or DSL modems Bachelor’s degree Ability to travel up to 35% of time Preferred Experience: Extensive experience in design, implementation, documentation and troubleshooting of complex video access and security systems Wireless, CDMA, IP and 3GPP DSL and cable modems Cell phone, RAN and UTRAN experience Experience in lab set-up of complex system solutions enabling design verification Cisco IOS experience DSLAM experience Self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced matrix environment  Connect with Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company and receive a competitive salary and exceptional benefits.
